Core Training, a.k.a: you want me to do that for HOW long??


Week 1, Day 2

Arjay and I went to our Core Training for Runners class tonight.  It's a great class, and we always feel like we've actually done some good work when we leave.  So, we DESERVE the wine we get to have next door at Cafe Caturra....it's 1/2 price on Tuesdays - how can we afford NOT to??

Tonight's class was heavy on the planks, holding for 45 seconds for each exercise.  We did a lot of medicine ball balancing, and a fair bit of stability work.  I absolutely L-O-V-E this class - even though I complain a lot about it.  The exercises are hard to me, and I think Arjay humors me by huffing and puffing a little bit too.  The instructor - Bobby Mack - is the jam.  He's got a demeanor that really suits me - i.e. he just kinda tells us what to do.  No frills - just get in and do the work.  

Thankfully, we have a great workout book so that we can continue the training even after the class ends next week.  

So, no running today - just working out the old six pack.
